It’s really not my kind of thing but this article pretty much mirrors my thoughts on it.
When I first moved to (close by) the Slope I found out it was cooler to have been kicked out of the Coop than to be a member.
That information has served me well ever since.
guys i have been trying to join that fuckin co-oop for like 4 months now SOMEBODY MAKE ROOM FOR ME IN ONE OF THE ORIENTATIONS
Sen. Al Franken: How many bankruptcies because of medical crises were there last year in Switzerland?
Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Diana Furchtgott-Roth: I don’t have that number in front of me but I can find out and get back to you.
Sen. Al Franken: It’s zero.
[silence]
Sen. Al Franken: Do you know how many medical bankruptcies there were last year in France?
Diana Furchtgott-Roth: I don’t have that number but I can get back to you if you’d like.
Sen. Al Franken: Yeah, the number is zero.
[silence]
Sen. Al Franken: Do you know how many were in Germany?
Diana Furchtgott-Roth: From the trend of your questions, I’m assuming the answer is zero, but I don’t know the precise amount.
Sen. Al Franken: Oh, you’re very good, very fast.

Steve Burns AKA Steve from Blue’s Clues.
a few brief insider fun facts on Steve Burns and his “music career”:
1. Steve recorded his first record in Oklahoma with musical genius, Steven Drozd, of the Flaming Lips ( one of the raddest, nicest, most talented people on the planet, as well as one of my all-time favorite humans.)
2. Drozd basically wrote all the music on the record, and sadly Steve Burns had to be part of it. (psssst… Drozd is the drummer in this video.)
3. Burns lived in Oklahoma whilst he recorded the record… and to pretty much anyone (outside of members of The Lips) was a HUGE, POMPOUS, DICKY ASSHOLE OF A CUNT.
4. Burns returns frequently, and every time we are “graced” with his presence here, he does an excellent job reminding everyone… that absolutely nothing has changed.
Both with his “musical career” and his level of absolute dicknosery.
…seems the only person who doesn’t understand these facts are Burn’s himself.
what a shocker.
man the truth has the taintiest little sting about it.
so a simple note-to-self, all you celebrities you (or wanna-bes in this case)…
don’t be dicks. it’s super easy. hell, some people do it everyday even.
anywoooooo…
knowledge dropped.
had to chime in on this-
I’ve done several sessions with Steve Burns (guy does tons of VO these days) and he is always professional as hell. Literally, there are only a handful of VO guys who are consistently easy to work with and and Steve is one of them. Maybe he’s cleaned up his act between then and now?
Would love to hear some specific stories if you have any though.
